Hi, first time poster. First off, I'm not completely sure this topic is in the right spot. But here goes:
I recently got a new motherboard, cpu, and ram (getting a new video card shortly). I put all my parts in, everything turned on ok. I installed windows 7, and it (appears) to have installed ok to my knowledge. However, whenever I plug in any usb device, I only get device power (light on external drive comes on, wireless adapter power comes on, etc), and no devices work except my mouse (mouse wheel disabled) and keyboard (lights for caps lock, num lock, etc dont work). From what I understand the mouse and keyboard work minimally because generic drivers installed for the devices.
So I'm kinda lost. None of the devices show up in the device manager. Do you think it might have to do with a windows 7 setting/install issue? Or since its a brand new motherboard (z170 gaming 7), there might be a bios setting issue? Anyway, thank you for your time and let me know if you need any additional information.
