I just upgraded my pc with some new parts a couple days ago and went to stream on obs yesterday. But about 30 minutes into the stream, I noticed my elgato wave one mic light was blinking on and off and wasnt picking up audio. Next thing you know, my webcam stopped working and did the same thing and then my headset, etc. Basically, almost every usb device I had plugged into my motherboard had trouble connecting. Unplugging and plugging back in doesnt work at times, but does sort itself out. Looking at the reliability history I got this error here:

Right now I've been troubleshooting myself and I saw I was able to stream fine with voicemod disabled, seeing that may be the problem having that as my default mic in. What do you guys think on what caused all this, could voicemod really cause this?

What were your specs prior to the upgrade(as in what did you upgrade from)? Did you reinstall the OS after the upgrade?

If you went with the RTX3080 you should've gone with a PSU upgrade as well, one with 1KW of power at the entire system's disposal. With that said, you're advised to manually install all relevant drivers for your platform in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator, in case you let the OS download and install drivers it thought was appropriate for your platform.

BIOS version for your current Intel based motherboard?

Noted, I'll look into a new PSU as well. As far as the bio version for my MSI mobo, its ver 1.26

I would disconnect all of the usb headers on the motherboard, reboot and test to see if the USB sockets on the back of the machine work as expected.
I mention this because I have seen people plug usb headers into motherboard audio headers with some very strange results. I have also seen machines that had the plugged into a fan connector or had them plugged in with a offset to the pins.
best to unplug them all and retest with the hardwired ones on the backplane of the motherboard.

I would also check to make sure the usb port is not shorted out against the case.

if you do think it is one of your devices, unplug it, go into windows control panel, device manager find the option to show hidden devices and click it on.
then look at the greyed out entries and delete the driver. USB devices just hide the driver when the device is removed. A bad driver can still mess up the whole device tree.

this tool used to work pretty well to find hardware problems in a usb tree>
I have not used it on the more complex modern systems but you should give it a try.
USB Device Tree Viewer (uwe-sieber.de)

if the devices work with the internal headers disconnected, then connect headers back up but look at the motherboard diagram.
make sure pin one of the header matches pin one of the ribbon cable connector. Sometimes the female connector does not have the plastic block out to prevent incorrect connection.

also, make sure you do not have an apple device connected to the usb. Some devices (apple) pull too much current and will cause the USB to shutdown and turn off several times a second.
I have also found some devices that would short against the case and shutdown the usb subsystem.

I have also found some usb drivers that would respond to other usbdevice requests and not allow them to pass down the usb chain to the proper device. Really causes a bunch of problems.
