USB Drive not showing up?

So, heres the problem. I put in my usb (ironkey 32gb), but it doesn't show up in my computer. But if I go under my Device Manager, it shows up as: SMI USB DISK USB Device. It's under sub-category Disk Drives. I do remember formatting it to make it a bootable drive (with Linux on it), but I think I reformatted it or something because I gave up. Now I can't even format it or look at whats in the usb. And when I go to volumes, everything is blank! Anyone know what to do? 🙁

in disk manager, format the partition as NTFS to be able to use it in windows and linux. if you need to be able to boot off of it, then it should be FAT32.
