USB Drives write protected

Hi!
I have been using a seagate 1TB drive on a vantec dock. All of a sudden the drive has started appearing write protected and I cannot add or delete any files on the drive. This is very surprising as I havent found any answer as to how can I remove the write protect thing and use my drive normally. This problem has many answers for windows XP but cant really google an answer for Win 7 ultimate. Please help me friends.

Thank you for your help . This worked for me. I had tried the regedit options but they apparently didnt work.
