So I installed a new motherboard today and reinstalled windows 7 as well - I DO NOT have an optical drive so using the cd to install is impossible.

I usually install all my drivers through a USB stick, but the Universal Bus Driver is totally gone. What do I do?!! My PC will only recognize keyboard/mouse and not my USB storage. Any thoughts or suggestions? I'm freaking out

Solution
I take it the initial problem since you don`t have a dvd drive to install the provided drivers on the supplied dvd motherboard disk.

Was because the Lan, or Ethernet port on the new motherboard is also not working in windows 7.

And as you said you normally install all of the drivers from a usb stick.

The simple solution if the usb stick is not working in any other USB port.
Though i am surprised you never thought of this.

Is to take the keyboard usb connection out of the pc once windows has loaded.
Then insert the usb stick into that usb port of the system.

The drive should then be picked up.
And install the drivers.

If the usb keyboard works, and your mouse, then connecting the usb stick to either port should result in the usb...
see if the basic driver can be found in the list of drivers.
first find out what internet adapter you have on your mobo.

go to device manager.
find your ethernet port/adapter(under network adapters).
update the driver.
select "browse for software on your computer".
select "let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
select brand of the adapter left and the model right, or if "show compatible hardware is selected" select the right adapter.
click next, and the driver should install.

you should have internet now.
google the mobo you installed and look for drivers on the manufacturer's site.

Ok try this.

Have a look in the bios set up of the motherboard.
If it is a new motherboard, and has Uefi support, make sure you are in the advanced bios mode if it has one.

Check to see if enable detection of legacy usb devices is enabled.

Look for CSM in the bios.
For hardware detection and Initialization make sure the mode is set to manual.
Select Legacy op rom\ Uefi mode as the setting.

Check to also see if there is an option to disable usb ports on the motherboard.
And that all are enabled.

Or any reference to Usb ports such as 3.0 standard ports where you have to enable the feature in order for the ports to work.

Short of that, the only other way would be to pull the hard drive out of the system if an internal Sata drive.
Connect it to another system and download all of the drivers from the motherboard vendors website and support page for the drivers and dump them on the hard drive.

Then connect it back to your system so you can run and install the drivers.
