USB extension ?

Hi, my computer case is a little far from me and I am using Logitech G500s and the mouse wire falls short and I am unable to use the mouse conveniently .
So should I buy any of those USB extension cables or what should I do ?
Any link of anything product would be great.

Should I get the USB 3.0 cable and just out of curiosity does these cables work properly ?
