Hello,
I have 128 GB USB but my TV cannot recognize it (cause it is exFAT). I want to change it to another format like fat32 but since fat32 doesn't support that much of a size(so it will decrease size of USB capacity), can I format is to fat32, get size decreased and later format it back to exFAT and get 128 gb again?

Solution
If you want to use a USB drive with your TV, why not just get a smaller USB stick for use with it so you can use the full capacity? Why bother with formatting and re-formatting things? USB drives are pretty cheap in smaller capacities.
The storage size will never change, but the format will change the amount of storage it can handle. Switching between formats will be fine. Changing the format of the drive will no affect the capacity what so ever so you should be fine to switch them back and forth between fat32 and exFAT.

Hey there, GodLes.

Zeke15 is quite right. I'd just like to add up something. Even though the FAT32 file system has a restriction for partitions of up to 32GB, if the files size limitation doesn't bother you, you could still use the whole capacity of the flash drive, by creating a few 32GB partitions or by using 3rd party software to create a single large FAT32 partition.
Also, as you haven't mentioned it, if you're using Windows on your computer and your TV supports the NTFS file system, I'd recommend that you go for that file system instead of FAT32 or exFAT and you'll save yourself the trouble of constantly repartitioning the USB flash drive.

Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.
