Okay... Here is my dilemma.

I have a USB headset (Razer brand) not sure what model, as they were given to me and I can't find the same looking ones on the website.

Here is the thing. It has a USB cable, as WELL as two 3.5mm cables.

Now, when I plug just the one green 3.5mm into a port on my speaker, I can get the headphones working (but not the mic).

When I plug the green and pink 3.5m cables from the headset into the front of my tower, I get NOTHING (this is because I am assuming I am not using onboard sound, rather a creative sb live audigy 2).

When I plug JUST the USB into the front of my tower ... nothing happens. Nothing gets detected, nothing shows up, sounds don't work, and in the sound properties I don't see anything else listed. I have not however, tried to plug it into a USB into the back of the PC. I know the front USB ports work because I charge my phones on them and use my tablet.

What I DON'T want to do, is have to plug these in and out from the back of the PC every time I want to switch between regular speakers or the headset. However I cannot even get that far.

The only thing that works for me right now is plugging the green 3.5mm into my speaker and getting audio through the headset.

What is the point of all 3 cables? I thought USB headsets you just plug in the USB? If so, what are the 2 extra 3.5mms for? Why isn't it working when I plug it in to my tower via USB?

Hope somebody can help!

Thanks.

a headphone jack is also green, so just plug the green plug into a green jack and if the sound doesn't work then change it the way I showed you before.
Pink is your mic and green is your sound. Usb must be plugged in to power the whole headset. I don't have the exact one but my turtle beaches are very similar. you probably can't find them on the website because they are older than their latest model. Right click your speaker icon in the bottom right corner and click playback devices. Then make sure the headset is the one your computer is using. Hope I could help.

So I would have to unplug my speakers from the sound card and plug these in? Orr... will the soundcard have a separate jack for headphones? Or...?
