Heya, I have a (not really a cheapo, but not any expensive either) USB gaming headset. One of the better quality Chinese specials. I've been experiencing a problem recently where the sound randomly cuts out and all I get is like a ticking/popping sound every like 2 seconds until I unplug and plug it back in.
I'm wondering if I might have a dodgy USB port on my front panel because it only started doing this, very occasionally after I swapped to my new case which is an NZXT Source 340. It's very frustrating when I'm trying to play something like Fortnite Battle Royale and the sound cuts out, it makes the game suddenly incredibly difficult.
I also noticed that in certain games even when I unplug and plug it back in, the sound doesn't come back for that program at all, even when other programs sound is working fine. Which is why I'm a little confused as to whether this is software or hardware related.
Any help would be appreciated.
