We are using a USB Headset Training Cable - Y Lead on a Chromebox. Different people plug in their headsets when needed. It has a mute button on the cable. It randomly mutes the mic on the Chromebox.
As I understand the question there is an audio cable coming from the Chromebox that splits into two audio ports (3.5 mm) so two different people can plug in their respective headsets.
Is that correct?
Is the mute button common to both users (meaning that when the button is pushed both user headsets are muted)?
If the muting happens at random then the mute button is likely defective.
However there could be other reasons especially if the people are using their own and differing headsets.
With the ends of the "Y" (training lead) being female USB ports into which "agent" and "trainer" plug in their own headsets?
From the link (scroll down):
"IMPORTANT - this training lead is ONLY for use on Streamline Pro+ Eco Headsets & JPL -headsets with a compatible QD or "quick disconnect" plug half way down the wire."
