USB Install stuck at 99%

Hello,

I am trying to wipe my netbook and start from scratch due to a slowdown in everything. I am currently to the point in which Windowns Update Download Tool stops at 99% when trying to write the image to my USB. I've done everything I can via google search including wiping the drive and creating the partition via command prompt. Nothing seems to make this work. Can anyone suggest ANYTHING? Thanks.

BTW my usb is a 32 gig.

Try with a good quality usb 2. 0 drive of 4 or 8 GB ?

If short of money try re formatting & testing existing 32 GB drive with H2testW. (V1.4) to confirm no hardware problems.

Hi,

Have you tried deleting the flash drives partition ??? If not delete and create a new primary partition, and do a full format of the drive. Don't do a quick format.

Then proceed with the install of any boot system you wanted.

Yes I have done this multiple times - to no avail.

I think my wife has some laying around. I'll try using a smaller drive (after backing up her stuff) With her knowing im about to wipe her USB of classword of course!
