USB keyboard, windows 8.1pro login

USB keyboard and mouse work in bios, but not at windows 8.1pro login. If I can get to command prompt can I login into windows?

what motherboard are you using? I've had a few where the keyboard and mouse have to be plugged into the right usb port for them to work during boot up. Normally these boards will have two usb plugs up where the PS2 ports use to be.
