I've tried almost everything! Using different keyboards, trying different USB ports, tried 3.0 USB ports, turned off the feature that shuts down the USB ports to save power, deleted unknow USBs in the USB essentials, uninstalling my mouse and keyboard drivers in divices and even searched my computer for viruses or problems. Nothing came up and it's been happening for the past month or so. Please help!

Edit:
System spects

I have both USB 2.0 and 3.0 and I do not have USB splitters or add-ons, they are all on board USBs and I am the administrator of my computer.

It happens when I'm just on my computer in general. Be that browsing the web or playing games on steam.

Side note: The lazer on my mouse is still on but the lights for num lock and so on are not on when they both disconnect. When they are plugged into the 2.0 there is no 'disconnect' sound that plays but when they are plugged into the 3.0 they toy with me by disconnecting 'with the noise' but then reconnecting a bit later and after a while they just fully disconnect. All the other USB's work though like my iPod charger and printer USB, it just disconnects my Mouse and Keyboard on multiple USB's. (Like I said, I also tried another brand new keyboard and still nothing)

I also noticed that they turn back on when I close my computer in the 'logging off' screen which means it has to be a setting in my user somehow which doesn't make sense because I'm pretty sure I haven't fitted around with those setting since I got them.

Please help!

Did you see if the issue is there in a new user account?

You may not have to bother with the repair install if it didn't. It would simply come down to backing up your data within the other account and moving it to a new one but one step at a time (or slow and steady wins the race)

I'll try that out and let you know. I was just updating CK because he asked if I had a win7 disk.

I am currently using the side account who is also an admin and has no real changes to it. It's fresh more or less (Other then things I've downloaded from my main account that downloads to all accounts, those programs). From what I see, the mouse and keyboard haven't disconnected yet but the mouse keeps freezing every so often which leads me to believe that the problem still stands. The reason it might not be disabling is because I haven't been on my computer for a while which usually gives me a day or so of usage with out it turning them off. Kinda like a break I'd guess.

Another discovery with my problems, when the devices disable, they do not pop up on the device manager yet the mouse light censor is still on showing that the computer is at least giving the mouse power. Any thoughts on this? Maybe it will help?

At this point we've tried a lot of steps, sfc /scannow, safe mode, new user accounts, etc to no avail. At this point, I would do a paralell install, it only lasts for 30 days, but you don't need it that long, you need to ensure the hardware is functioning correctly or not. If this is a break/bug in the windows registry, we aren't likely going to be able to find it.

One thought though, I did notice, is that you have a phone connected via USB. Just a thought, I've had not so long ago, an LG smartphone, I installed the USB driver, and played with it for a day or two, then I uninstalled the LG USB driver, and lost any/all external devices (hard drives, flash drives, etc), meaning it's possible that driver is your problem.

To be honest, I think it might have something to do with my phone, Sometimes I notice that my computer is working fine but when I plug in my phone, the problem starts to happen. What should I do about that? I uninstalled the drivers in the Device Manager and haven't plugged it back in yet but I kinda need my phone to be plugged into my computer for charging or for adding music and so on. Any ideas? What did you do?

Sorry for the delayed replay. Normally just unstalled/reinstall the USB phone driver. (uninstall, test first to ensure issue goes away). It's difficult to say if the problem will come back upon a reinstall or not (if the install was damaged, it will repair it, but if the install has say 'settings' in some '.ini file, then reinstall will read old settings, and may bring back problem). Another thought, maybe there's a newer version of the driver? Or even an older one (not too old). Let us know how that pans out.
