Hi, I was playing League of Legends when this happened and when the game loaded into the world the mouse just stopped responding and never kicked back on.

I've restarted the computer, pulled the battery for a few minutes, turned legacy usb on/off, right click and uninstalled all universal USB controllers (then restarted to get windows to reinstall them), tried different mice on the problem computer, tried the mouse on a different computer (it worked), pretty much every solution i've found on the internet so far from people with similar issues of usb mice/keyboards suddenly stopping and never coming back using windows 7.

I consider myself above average for tech lingo so don't hold back with the technical solutions! I'm actually going to go to toshiba's website and check if they have any drivers that I could download/update.

I bought a new tv and a new computer, started them both up, my old mouse kept freezing, I replaced the battery, same problem. I bought a new mouse keyboard combo, both kept freezing, I decide to go back to my old combo, I set them on my desk and noticed the power light was on before I did anything, they were still freezing. I put the old combo in the next room in the closet and the new one came right on. They must of been on the same signal and canceling each other out. Don't know why the old one stopped working originally

Score one for being a pack rat. I had an old ADB (PS/2) mouse and my new motherboard has an ADB (PS/2) port. Connected the mouse and rebooted and now have a mouse to figure out how to fix the USB mouse problem.

I'll try the Windows repair after I check the power saving settings for USB devices.

Or maybe I'll just see if I can find a fancy ADB gaming mouse. (insert sarcastic smilie here)

Apparently Logitech SetPoint has an option for installing a PS/2 driver. Not going to do that unless I need to. Mouse seems to be working fine without it.
