USB Not Working in Windows 7 with ASUS Z170-A Pro

Whenever I boot up, my USBs always work; my keyboard and mouse are lit up. However, once I get into Windows 7 64-bit, my keyboard and mouse just shut down and don't work at all. I also tried switching them to different ports (both USB 2 and 3).

In terms of drivers, I have the ASMedia USB Root Hub and USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller.

Did you change motherboard of your computer without reinstalling windows?

did you install the Intel USB drivers which are for the USB 2.0/3.0 ports?

Since the 170 chipset Windows7 does not natively support the USB ports.

There is a utility that will install the USB drivers during the install of Windows7.

No I did a fresh reinstall.
