Hi all.
I have a Asus P5KPL/EPU motherboard, with 8USB ports (4 in the front a and four in the rear).
Well, my problem is that it seems I have only 1/2 ports working, I don't know why.
I've tried to connect a flash drive and a mouse to every other port, and simply they would't be detected in Bios.
Also, only on one of the two ports would the mouse work, in the other, the mouse-light would be on, although the mouse wouldn't work... About the other 6 ports... Not even a signal, nor mouse nor pens would light up.
So, as the problem is visible in Bios I would guess this is an hardware issue. Can it be fixed?
If not, would it be a good idea to buy an USB hub to connect all my devices into the only motherboard Usb port that works? (I would use, for example, a keyboard, mouse, wifi adapter and at least a pen always connected.)
What about USB expansion modules? Sorry, I just heard about them, how do they work??
Thanks in advance,
Diogo
