I've got a very odd situation going on here...
As a note for context, both my wireless network card and mouse are USB.
While using my computer normally, everything works fine and as expected and while playing games I generally have little trouble. However, if for whatever reason I start a large download (or at least it's most commonly happening with this) my USB network card will often cut out after about 500MB to a GB or so. As in, all of a sudden, my computer is no longer able to connect to the internet. A couple moments later, the computer will register that the USB card is no longer connected to the computer. (Happy Windows disconnect sound and everything) The card itself still has a happily blinking blue status light however. About 5 or so seconds after that, the USB ports all over the computer go haywire. My mouse will cut out suddenly etc. It's especially odd because the current solution is sort of an art. Sometimes unplugging and plugging back in will fix it immediately. Other times I have to plug it into another USB port on the computer. Other times I have to turn the entire computer off and back on before it will work correctly. It's very odd. Here's the relevant hardware which I could imagine might be affecting it:
Panda Wireless PAUO Network card
E-Blue wireless gaming mouse
Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0 mobo
750 Watt EVGA power-supply
Windows 10 (but happened under 8 as well)
Any ideas or thoughts are welcome. The thing I am MOST afraid of is that the motherboard is bad somehow...I hear Asus's support for its cheaper motherboards is crap. So...any OTHER thoughts or ideas are welcome
