Hello
So basically every so often, completely at random all of USB slots on my pc will shut off forcing me to restart to have them back on. Its been doing this for a few months and it only happens like maybe every 3-4 weeks only once and then its fine again.Another strange bit is that unless i uninstall 2 of the drivers and reinstall them (usually my keyboard and mouse, the other three items that are plugged in are a USB WiFi adapter, a mini USB desk fan, and a headset) it will keep shutting down the USB slots within around 10 minutes. There was a large storm in my area around a year ago that flickered my electricity on and off and ever since then my plugged in ethernet port no longer works, but this problem didn't start happening until much later.
I'm assuming that it is my motherboard that is the problem, I've had it for a long time so it is most likely old age catching up to it and or the storm messed it up a while ago, but i figured id at least ask if anybody had any ideas before i just went and bought a new one.(also sorry if this is confusing lol nobody Ive talked to had ever heard of this happening)
My specs:
Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
CPU: AMD FX-4300
RAM: 8.00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 669MHz
Motherboard: ASUSTeK Computer INC. M5A78L-M LX PLUS (AM3R2)
Graphics: 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti (EVGA)
Thanks for any answers
