USB power cable broken.

I broke my headset's usb . The usb is only used for power but the headset doesn't work without it. Now i want to attach a other usb to it ( something i do often with broken usb cables.
But the headset's usb only has 1 golden wire in it with only a bit of white string.

Anyone know what kind of usb i should connect it too? or how to fix it in any otherway.


Any help appriciated

thankyou for the feedback unfortunatly the problem is : The usb that powers the headset doesnt have any colors.
Only 1 wire and im not sure if i can connect it to a normal charging usb since that has 4 wires. and if its possible i dont know what color to connect it too. ( note the white string im pretty sure doesnt do anything. since its not protected atall from the golden wire and feels more like actual string not electrical wire.)

Well there should be atleast two wires, obviously. Check that tutorial to see which cables handle power on a connector that has colors and connect the wires in your cable to those.

It honestly only has 1 cable :S.. Probably shouldve added that the headset also has 2 seperate jacks for Audio and mic. (maybe thats why usb only has 1 cable idk..) But yhea im really confused because i was pretty sure a usb cable had 2 wires atleast, ... before i opend up this one

No way man! No cable can function with just one wire. It needs to be a circuit and there's no way in hell the headset grounds through the audio jack.
