USB to USB cable is not working...!!!

I have usb to usb cable i want transfer data from the laptop to the PC....but the problem is when i connect the both of the ends to the usb ports nothing happens....any help would be appreciable!!! Please reply guys i really need help.

I've never heard of connecting two PCs with USB, just buy an Ethernet cable and use that.

You cannot connect two computers in the way you're attempting.

Presuming you're using Windows, and you wanted to transfer data through USB, you would need a special type of USB cable called a Windows Easy Transfer cable (.

Alternatively, you could transfer the data across a network through Ethernet, or you could use an external hard drive as an intermediate.

All of these options are viable, but determining which is best would depend on the specific application.
