usb video files play but will not play after 8gb is stored on the usb drive?

Using Windows XP. Video files on the USB will play only up to 8gb. After that although the files still register on the drive, they will not play. Only the files before the 8gb limit will play.

Please check/test to see if you have a fake flash drive.
