[SOLVED] USB wifi not working in laptop?

Hello,

I have a Lenovo G50-80 old laptop with windows 10 in it. this laptop wifi is gone bad it's connected to the wifi if we can sit around 1meter from wifi router. So I bought external USB wifi TP-LINK AC450 but it's not able to connect to the wifi. The laptop uses the default laptop's wifi but not USB wifi.
When i disabled default wifi its just show the wifi sign with a red mark in the status bar.
anybody plz tell me the solution of this.

did the TP Link come with any software that needed to be installed? Windows default drivers dont always do a great job

I have installed the utility but it also unable to search network and still laptop have this wifi icon with a cross.

and also when i remove usb device then it shows LAN TV sign with red cross but when i plug usb device then it shows wifi sign wth red cross in status bar

May very well just be a defective unit as review complain about it failing quickly or just arriving doa a lot.

yes i just bought it from amazon now i have tried it in my desktop with windows 7 still got the problem it not showing list of wifi's

Wouldn't be surprized if it's broken. If 2 computers can't use it then either your router or whatever is giving you wifi is busted or the new adapter is broken.
