Is the monitor I got but windows and nvidia control panel only allow me to got to 60hz

Are you using HDMI? If so you'll need to switch to Display Port or DVI

Using DVI

Make sure it's a dual link DVI cable, the one that came with it should be dual link. Also in the nvidia control panel under resolution make sure you are choosing 1920x1080 under the PC section, the 1080p option under UltraHD, HD, SD will not have anything above 60Hz as an option.

Will do but IDK if you can answer this. I had to switch to hdmi because when I use dvi my monitor starts up windows then stops displaying stuff. But if I connect a second monitor with Hdmi and keep my main connected with dvi both work
