Use or throw away and buy something else?

Good day from sunny London.
My i7 4930K has arrived and a pair of PNY Geforce GTX 680 4GB are on their way to me.
It's time to think about cooling.
In my bits and bobs box I have an unused, still in box, Intel CPU fan that came with an i7 990X - Q) can I mount that over the 4930K OR would you like to make a suggestion as to something I should be considering? I am NOT advanced enough to go down the water cooling route.
As to the graphics cards. I have not made up my mind as to using them both in this rig (SLI) or keep one as a back-up. Do you have any suggestions as to fan cooling for them?

This is a brilliant site, "once I was dumb, but now I know so much more, that, my brain hurts" But still lots to learn before I attempt this, my first build.

ASUS Sabertooth X79 mobo with Corsair TX950W psu (mainly high end picture editing from Nikon D810 RAW and CinemaDNG files from BMPCC (all via Lightroom until I can muster up the courage to face the DaVinci learning curve)

Solution
I would get a Noctura NH-14 for the CPU as it will do very well cooling that CPU, seeing as you have such a powerful CPU, use both of the cards in SLI and get the maximum performance out of your machine as possible. Also that PSU will provide more than enough power to run your machine even with both graphics cards in operation.

Agreed. With an unlocked processor, using the stock fan doesn't make much sense since you're not making the most out of your processor. With an aftermarket air cooler like a NH-D14 it will keep the i7 cool and you should be able to overclock it as well.
