So im thinking get a USB 3.0 card and a wifi/bluetooth card (mainly for the the bluetooth) both these fit in the PCIe slots.

Q1: Will that affect GPU performance? and one of the cards is likely to cover most of one of the fans (3080 TI takes some space)

Q2: I see some of the usb cards use other connectors in addition to the PCIe slot, and that confuses me a bit, what will be better and why does some need it.

You will most likely end up needing to plug a Bluetooth card into a pci pci-e port and a USB 2.0 port for data transfer mainly due to the wifi portion of the card normally uses the pci lane. The Bluetooth again uses the USB 2.0 port. As for using the second pcie port for a Second device yes it will lower the quality of...

As for using the second pcie port for a Second device yes it will lower the quality of the gpu from my understanding ther are no mobos yet the run dual pcie well in Gen 4 it will lower both ports to Gen 3 and yes it doesn't matter if it's a gpu or not when both lanes become active they split and run Gen 3

Is that only the second pcie slot or both 2nd and third?

Depends on motherboard.
What motherboard are you using?
auros pro x570

Both pcie slot one and two used in link with each other will cut your data transfer to Gen three on this board if you use pcie lane 3 you should be fine it won't affect the gpu or shouldn't

In that case I should scrap the wifi card and get an USB card I get some proper bluetooth and wifi dongles (wifi not needed when home, its for lan parties)

The asus BT 5.0 dongle, anyone tried that with PS5/Switch controller?
