Hi,

I am connected to the internet at my house through the most commonly used device, the "wireless router". All the devices in my house access the internet by connecting to the wireless router through their wifi(s).

Now the problem is that I want to connect an old PC not equipped with a wifi adapter or card to my wireless router without the use of LAN cable. I want to make a wireless connection to the router and I have two spare devices available at my disposal.

Can any of my spare devices be reconfigured or reprogrammed and brought into use in this scenario.

If yes, then how and if no then I know the other option is to install a wifi card internal or a usb version.
But I would be obliged if one or both of my spare devices can prove to be handy.

Neither of those two products can be used for that purpose.

You need to buy either a wireless card or a USB wireless adapter.

The latter is preferable (though not quite as discrete) since it won't be buried inside the computer case near the floor, so wireless signal should be stronger if you buy one which comes with an extension adapter to sit on your desk. Also, a USB device can easily be moved to a different computer (or laptop) if required.

Just remember that with any USB wireless adapter, the software supplied with it must be installed before plugging it in.
