Hello, I've bought a used GPU, RX 580 8GB XFX XXX OC+ that was most likely used as a miner card. The card works just fine as long as I run it on DX9/10/openGL renderers but if I try DX11 it starts to produce visual artifacts mostly on anything involving smokes or lightning effects. When I tried to run it on DX12 it is absolutely choked on 6 frames and produced artifacts everywhere (Dishonored 2) and when I tried Vulkan (Red dead r 2) it was 90% blackscreen with some glow effect that outlined everything and then faded after a few seconds.
So I am pretty sure this is a GPU issue because I've just tried it on my everyday rig which works absolutely fine and it produced exactly the same effect as on the PC I bought the part for in same games. I did not try an older AMD driver but I highly doubt if it's the case. I tried a few other games on my PC to see and it was the same, always fine on anything DX10 or older. Performance-wise it was flawless in these old games (punched a 500-600fps on CSGO).
I also checked the bios version and it's the correct one but that could be easily spoofed. So I thought to myself that maybe I should just flash the BIOS, it seems like a safe option and from my understanding even if I brick it then I can flash it again with the back up copy without any problems? The GPU comes with a mechanical switch for bioses so if that fails I'm kind of fine (btw I checked the GPU on both positions of that switch and it was the same)
tldr
If I flash rx 580 and mess it up is it a problem to flash it again with the copy of the bios?
