You can't. The internet isn't a "thing" you can hold in your hand.

You could buy a router new for <$50. Thrift store, maybe $10. If they have them.

You'll also need to *rent* an internet connection. How much this costs will depend on where in the world you are, how fast/how much data, and what type. The cheapest are certainly under $80 per month, likely much much less.

And finally, there's the actual PC you use the internet on. That could be $300 for a new one or a cheap laptop. Second hand, likely <$100 but you'd need some setup work.
Greetings!

The internet just exists, so I am assuming that you are actually referring to needing a new router? Routers do not contain an Operating System, and therefore a virus is generally not able to attack or live in a router. Some malware can effect the DNS server, but if you update the firmware in the router, that would generally solve that...though it is very rare for that to be the case. I would just be careful buying used and attempt to verify the unit by testing it before purchasing.

Hope this helps!

my dude. definitely the older internet had way less virus's. the problem seems to be the tubs. the new internet dose not clean them out often enough and so everything get clogged up.

but to not be an ass..... if you need a new modem buying used is no big deal as long as you get a modem that will work on the net work you are connection too visa vi cable internet? docsis 2 or 3 (3 being the one most used and 2 being the one that is dieing out FAST)

dsl ?? then you need a dsl modem contact your isp to get a list of compatibility modems.

routers? well anyone will do wifi will alwasy sux balls so get the chepist one to can get and hook Ethernet to it.

i meant is internet tower. suppose if one collects it through a junk yard. i know somw used internet may be contained with virus and stuff. unless if one know how to take the hardrive out and exchange it

Greetings!

That is only a partial quote. I mentioned the malware issue. Yes, it is a possibility, but a rare one, and one that is easily remedied as I also mentioned above.

Here are some articles on the matter to hopefully quell any concerns:

Okay...so a computer from a junkyard. ?.instead of buying a new one?

Might be a nice project tricky if you don't know what you need to do, but can probably be done.
Remove/replace hdd...fresh Os? ...could work?
Probably best to look on ebay/craigslist/gumtree though
From a junkyard the components would be pot luck...if someone has just thrown it out...there's probably a reason 😉

sorry but this is too funny.

anyways, yes, if the used computer has a virus, reinstalling the OS will take care of that.
