Bought a used pc specialist pc from eBay, worst case scenario I get my money back. Current issues: Powers on, lights up, GPU fans don't spin but there's 2 solid blue lights. 1 long beep, 2 short beeps then stops. Motherboard has red then yellow lights on 2 sticks of ram.

With 1 ram stick there are no beeps and no yellow light, but still no signal. (Might be defective ram stick or slot, only does it with the 2nd ram stick?) DP is plugged into the GPU, GPU is plugged in properly, CPU has been reseated still no dice. CMOS has been replaced and reset. Tried 3 different power cables, 2 different displayport cables, a different monitor etc.

I've tried literally everything short of taking out everything and re plugging back in, flashing the bios, and resetting the CMOS battery with a screwdriver (I used a new battery instead). Apparently it was "working before delivery", but since arrival it's been a dead end. Just no signal/picture, even on my brother's monitor. I'll be honest with y'all, it's doing my head in. Please help.

The beep code is memory. What's the part number of the dimms? To check the qvl for compatibility. Might be either faulty or incompatible memory.

Some might say if they had a spare dimm, try that instead. Others might think bleh troublshooting doas and send some back.

Tried spare ram, still had issues.

Specs generally include

The exact Memory Part No. Psu Make and Model. Drives, Fans etc.

The situation you are in is basically trying to refurb a used PC, with apparently little interest in the tech specs

However if you are sending it back there's no need to bother with all those finiky details and perhaps you'd be better of buying a pc off the shelf from the high street instead.

Simple you bought a PC and it's not working, return it for a refund or another PC.

Generally you can read the labels on the devices. You appear to have a peculiar blend of hardware. A modern system would not contain a hdd and well I simply cannot imagine how you even switched on the computer with no psu (power supply unit) installed.

The memory needs to be matched to the motherboard if you custom build a machine. Then you will have to search for a vendor in your locale and determine if they have the parts you want. First you need to know what you want.

You won't have to figure out the memory compatibility if you simply buy a pre built from the high street. it will already have matched memory in it.

However if you buy from the high street you might miss a few extras if you're savvy enough to build it. If you simply do not understand the specifications of a PC you will have some problems if you try to buy one and you learn it doesn't do what you wanted later.
