Question Used Rx 5700 XT annoying high frequency noise

Now i have finally recieved the new card.
Well, he asked me if he can send a "xfx thicc 2 5700 xt" instead of the mentioned sapphire. I agreed but in the end he sent a "XFX RX 5700 DD Ultra" (non XT) ...

Send it back immediately and make him pay the shipping this time! The RX 5700 XT is 14% faster than the RX 5700. I had a feeling that he wasn't trustworthy, that's why I suggested that you just keep the one you had. What he just sent you constitutes fraud.

Overall it wouldnt have been that worse as it reaches still ~16500 passmark instead of ~19000 from 5700XT powercolor and a lot lower temps (~ -10-20°c) and noise (coil whine is gone aswell).

Yes, it's worse. It's a slower card.

Even it does look pretty new i have some annoying issues. One of the fans stops spinning and i have to use pressure on it to make contact and spin again (happens often on high rpm) and i get black screens while running passmark (~1 passmark was sucessful from 7 attempts). I have not tested it for work or games, maybe its fine there though.

Danny, send that card back. This guy has now lied to you twice! First he says he'll send you an XFX RX 5700XT THICC-II and instead he sends you an XFX RX 5700 Double Dissipation? That's not only a lower-tier card, it's the lowest-tier XFX model.

Maybe i broke something with running DDU shortly before installing xfx 5700 to get rid of 5700 XT drivers.

That is literally impossible. DDU cannot break anything. Also, you didn't need to change the drivers because Radeons use the same driver package from the Polaris cards all the way to RDNA2.

I think i was pretty unlucky this time. Probably the card gots damaged while transport, or he sent me damaged card i dont know. Whatever, im trying to fix the fan tomorrow maybe it helps with the black screens aswell.

No, he LIED to you, sent you the wrong card and wrong XFX model.

Edit: I tried amd adrenaline stresstest, i noticed max consumption of Rx 5700 is only around 100 watt. Maybe there is an issue with pciE cables or psu.

Edit2: i calculated the max wattage of my build, it should be fine: ~333W
PURE POWER 11: continuous 500W, peak 550W
Ryzen 5 7600: 88W, RX 5700: 180W, Asus Tuf Gaming b650 - plus: ~10W, 5 fans ~15W, Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32GB 5600 MHZ ~20W, M.2 ~15W, SSD ~5W.

None of this matters Danny, you have to send the card back. You've been SCAMMED!

@Avro Arrow i unluckily cant sent it back. He is extremly angry because i gave him only a 2/5 rating on the platform, he even downvoted our 2 people company with fake ratings on google maps as result of my mentioned rating and 10min discussion.

He is not an actual scammer, he could not send me a second card at all after i have sent him the first one back. (I paid before already) But ignorant and egoistic person probably as he sees his damage only and not mine.

I think i could reach similar passmark values overclocking this card compared to previous 5700xt using temps as guide line. (this card 16500 at ~75°c , 5700 XT 19000 at ~95°c)
On the label its written "xfx 57xl8l v1.1" "xfx rx 5700 dd ultra 86 boost up to 1750M D6"

Anyway im trying to make the best out of it, was able to repair the fan with glue. (Hopefully the glue works long term)
But the black screen issue is still there, i need to invest more time into it tomorrow.
The black screen with reboot occurs aswell in games (today after ~30-45 min overwatch 2)

Edit:
-the black screen with reboot always happens at "GPU compute" sequence in passMark.
-I retried deinstall and install gpu drivers with DDU and AMD deinstall tool -> no improvement
-Techpowerup VGA bios collection I tried installing the latest vBios from here -> couldnt install as this one is already installed even if "image size" seem to be different from current and flashable.
-According xfx psu minimum requirment is 600w, mine is 500w. But according calculations of max consumption i should be easily in range. May its necessary tough ? (would be annoying buying a new psu and having still the same issues, checked also 5700XT which stated 650w requirment, maybe that could be the reason for coil whine ?)

He sent you a card that wasn't what you agreed on so he IS a scammer. He's faking outrage to scare you off. If I were you, I would appeal to eBay (or wherever you got it from).

I'm sorry but that card sounds defective and I don't know how to fix it. That's why I said to just put up with the coil whine, because you got a great price and the card worked. Now.... things are much worse.
