"The more prevalent MLC type tends to be slower, and have really long write times. In fact, the write times on MLC based drives are slower then standard hard drives and are not usually recommended for using as a primary drive with an operating system installed"


I fail to see how this statement is accurate, as MLC type drives can go above 250Mb/s read and close to 100MB/s write whereas your typical SATAII 7200 HDD has Read/Write around 130/120...

Does anyone have an explanation for this?
 
Honestly im just going to wait until the prices go down on these SSD's. They look very promising when it comes to speed but at the price im going to stick with HDD's
