Question User account mistake..

Ok, this is gonna be long, and I apologize, I also would've put this up on Microsoft answers community but they seem to be unavailable at the moment (4/26 @11:30pm) but, here it goes:
Okay, first, i only had one account ever on my computer (laptop), and that was the main one that would always login to when i booted it up. Then one day (a couple of weeks ago), i got a little annoyed/ocd kicked in about the folder in the users folder in my c:/ drive being a shortened version of my email...so i thought, "I Wanna Change That!"..so i did, i went into cmd to find my sid and opened up Registry Editor, found that long line of numbers that identified which one my user was, and changed the name from the shortened /user folder to my full email username (ofcourse without the @live.com), also changing the name of the /user folder itself. Also since i wanted to change the user folder name of my main account, i had to create a new user account and change the main user name from the new admin account. Unknowingly i had caused a whole slew of errors and problems when i tried to play some games from the Steam games platform, and some /Onedrive folder got lost/broken somehow and some/most of my games wouldnt save or lost their save states completely. So, about yesterday i tried to reverse everything i had done and went through everything and "tried" to rename my full user name back to my shortened name to try to fix my save game issues..im currently locked out of my "main" account because the lockscreen is saying that either my username and/or password is incorrect when i know my live email user is right and i JUST reset my password in an attempt to correctly log in. Oh, and before (or after, cant remember) i renamed my "main" account back to the shortened one, i moved everything from the user folder of the temporary/2nd user back on the shortened/"main" account/user (took a couple hours) and deleted it (the long named user account). And somewhere along the way, i created a 3rd temp account to rename the original long named main account back to the shortened name. And everytime im at the login/lock screen in the bottom left corner i just see the 3rd temp account and a version of the shortened name account that has nothing but the basics and default background pic on the desktop, same with the 3rd acct, and i can only see the 1st/"main"/shortened name account if i reset my laptop, and for whatever reason, disappears if i time out on the lock screen, leaving me with the 2 unwanted accounts..sorry if its a bit confusing, believe me, im beyond annoyed and confused that i cant login to the main/real account/user that has everything on my desktop

Don't wanna add more to that monster of a question/problem, but, I'd thought I'd add that when I log in to the fake default short named account, it says that "we're unable to log in to your account" and places me into a supposedly actual temporary account and it tells me to log off and relog in to fix the problem, but when I go to do that, it doesn't and it repeats itself and places me in the temp account. I also notice in the user account folder that there's 3 TEMP accounts for whatever reason and I don't know what to do now, I don't want to lose everything I've done in the past 1-2 years since I've had this laptop all because I wanted to change the name of the stupid user folder..changing it in the registry edit program was a total mistake...

If you have a pre- 1803 windows 10 version. there is backup of your registry at C:\windows\system32\config\regback. If you have 1803 or newer the backup files will be 0 kbs.


If you do a clean install, the Windows 10 install program created a c:\windows.old that has all your personal files.

"I don't want to lose everything I've done in the past 1-2 years since I've had this laptop all because I wanted to change the name of the stupid user folder..changing it in the registry edit program was a total mistake..." Unfortunately it takes much less to lose everything when you mess with the registry. Next time back up the registry before you mess with it.
