I initially logged into Microsoft to download Microsoft Office...but I have NEVER seen my user name misspelled, it's gonna drive me nuts. Thanks for the reply.Assuming the account is not a Microsoft Account (which you'll have to log into Microsoft's webpage instead), go to Control Panel -> User accounts -> Manage Users -> [Select a user] -> Change the Account Name
Note that this only changes the displayed name. The internal name (in C:\Users) may not change or change in a manner you didn't expect. The internal name is something you normally don't interact with, so I wouldn't worry about it.
Thanks for the reply...I am on Windows 11, and going back to the very first Windows software, the name was always correctly spelled. ugh..You cannot change the directory name under "C:\users\<name>". It is created by the system when the account is created and must remain as is. You shouldn't be randomly roaming about in there anyway as there are a myriad ways to hose your system by renaming/deleting the wrong thing in there.
