Question 2.1 speaker recommendations

Hi

My old 2.1 speaker set-up is in need of changing. I've had these since 2017 - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00JVSAIJ0?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1 - and the control buttons decided to detach on the inside and fall inside the subwoofer. As it'll be too much of a pain to fix, I think it's time to get something newer and potentially better. Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure what to go for. PC Gamer's recommendation for best speakers are the Logitech G560 or the Z407, but I'm undecided. I'm not even sure if those speakers are ideal for consoles as well. With my current ones, they're designed for consoles as well and I've had my PS3/4 connected to the subwoofer via optical along with my PC. And then I've changed the source depending on what I'm using. So ideally, I need something that allows me to do that.

Any recommendations/suggestions would be very welcome.

What sort of a budget have you allocated for your speaker purchase? You could look at a soundbar but you will defintely need an optical audio input for your speaker setup.

Possibly somewhere around £150...? Someone did suggest the Logitech Z623, which is about £123, but that lacks optical. The Z625 has optical, but isn't currently available, at least on Amazon. I don't think I'd be able to manage a soundbar, sadly. Lack of room.
