That's quite a claim, as scanning for this stuff is probably rather resource-intensive. Do you have any evidence to support that? Does it include material that's publicly shared, or just everything?
Not quite the same but could become precedence for similar cases.
The file hoster is supposed to know that the files uploaded are illegal.

Nintendo says a French Court agreed that 1fichier.com is “liable for failing to remove or block access to unauthorised copies of Nintendo games stored on this platform.”

That's exactly why, no matter what filesystem you use, you should rely on a RAID and periodically "scrub" or consistency-check it. If using a filesystem with builtin checksums, you can do a similar operation that verifies the checksums at the filesystem level.

Nowdays ZFS has autoscrub every few hours with checksum, total resilvered data from autoscrub is about 200-300 GB until now in 10 years.
How i said, no data lost (RAID-Z2 allows 2 hdd to fail without data loss), every single file in its place, private enviroment, if you know a bit about linux and how to configure things you are much safer compared with an external company and small footprint with jonsbo n2.

A OneDrive subscriber is in despair after Microsoft suspended their account without reason, and won't respond to inquiries. It was stuffed with 30 years of precious data, deposited as a relocation stop-gap.

Sadly I can confirm this, happened to me, and one other family member too, Ai takes one of your family photo/vid out of context and makes horrible accusations. Uploaded to OneDrive from the family chat group, by an automatic WhatsApp backup. You only receive an email and your account is suspended, your paid(!) Microsoft account, OneDrive, Outlook and the rest office365 tools. You cannot login anymore. one link where you can appeal, but you will need to use another email address. No phone number, no email or chat contact with a human being possible. A week later an just a short email with: "Appeal results: Violation confirmed (Decision upheld)" I sent in a new appeal but no response, and tried half hour chat for account reinstatement, one answer from a human being and the robot takes over again, but the chat now can no longer be found of course.

Ai is now your judge, jury and executioner, the chat-bot & email-bot the messenger. Welcome to the future.

So all my family photo's and administration for +20 years are gone just like that. I filed complaints with several consumer organisations in the Netherlands and Europe. But Microsoft can just hide behind their policy which you violated according to their Ai tool. The false positives from the Ai scans are getting fewer the past few years says one consumer-organisation I spoke to.
Maybe I should ask the Bill Gates foundation to financially support a legal process?
I lost a lot of memories, family history and my whole administration. Normaly I keep 2 copies, but my M2 drive crashed just a week before this.. Must be karma for defending MS on birthdays etc, saying I would trust them more with my data than any of the other big players..

Weeks of work ahead too see what I can recover. NAS is now installed, Thunderbird for Email and Open Office it is. DO not trust Microsoft with your data!

...and people wonder why I don't want Microsoft Windows scanning my hard drive for "marketing purposes", nor seamlessly using OneDrive cloud storage for my data!

Good luck with your case. I wonder if services like Proton offer encrypted storage buckets you can use, should you still want to utilize some form of cloud storage. I've switched to Proton for email.
