News User scores a Ryzen 7 5700X3D for $130 on AliExpress — lucky buyer gets legit CPU for 38% lower than the street price

More than 1 person has gotten an x3d at this price. It isn't luck, it is simply shopping on Aliexpress.

I've built multiple computers based around Aliexpress parts, Just buy from the reputable dealers, and understand that it will take 15 days to show up (most things are shipped space-A air).

Ive had good luck buying some parts from Ali. I try to stay away from anything with moving parts, and all motherboards. But things like CPUs/GPUs, SSD's, RAM... you can find some good stuff. And amazingly Ive never had anything not show up.

GPU from Aliexpress for me is a no no. The can sell you a gpu board with cooler, they desolder gpu chip and vram to sell the separately.

I've bought a bunch of the more interesting GPUs off of Aliexpress.

They all appear to be salvaged GPUs with new PCBs and fan assemblies. They all work perfectly fine.

When a GPU dies it is rarely the GPU chip, it is usually something on the PCB board.

I've only purchased older ones, like 1660ish generation. I do know people who have got some 3070's and 3080's with anime things on them (lol) that's worked out fine. Im sure things can go poorly but personally I've been shocked by their reliability so far. Maybe I've just been lucky.
