Question Using 2 graphics cards

Hello, I am starting to use 2 graphics cards and am using 2 1080 founder edition graphics cards. Right now I have both in and am waiting for my sli bridge to come in. I am using a ASUS z270e mobo. When i plug in my second graphics card all of the sudden I can only use outputs from the bottom card. Why is this? thanks for the help everyone.

Im not an expert but thought id drop in and say that there is probally a lot of other people with this issue , have you tried youtube or other websites?

When running SLi you can only use ports on 1 card but normally it’s the top card. However with no Sli bridge I’m surprised you have Sli enabled.

I hope you have researched Sli and it’s limitations. It’s ok if just experimenting but it’s not something that is recommended these days.

I am not running sli I just have the cards in for now waiting for the bridge. Yes i am aware that sli is not very useful nowadays but I still think it is cool to have it cosnidering i have both the cards. Thanks!
