Question Using 2 power supplys in one pc

hi i got this question recently
i have a bad psu which powers an rx 580
i undervolted it and underclocked it to the max but its still turning off sometimes
i found this adapter which uses 2 powersupplies 1 for the cpu and the other compoments and the other for the gpu only
should i buy it?

Replace the crappy devices with one good one.
Those adapters still leave the junk device in there. Time bomb, waiting to happen.
