In my country its harder to get above 70% isopropyl alcohol. Need to have licence or some kind of confirmation. I have this liquid which is used as antiseptic 60% isopropyl alcohol , aqua, Benzalalkonium chloride (dunno amount), Polyaminopropyl biguanide (dunno amount).
Is it good enough if i let sticks dry few hours before setting them in place? And should i clean contacts on motherboard also, where sticks are placed, and if so, with same liquid or paper?
Im reseating cause windows says 16gb memory installed but 7,99gb usable. Tried already reseating cpu and cmos clearing and fixing windows corrupted files.

Solution
Show me this page of Task Manager please.

Yes, I use the little Prep Pads that hospitals and doctors use to wipe a spot on someone before they give them a shot, and they work great and they are only 70%.

You should be able to buy these Prep Pads at a pharmacy.

I would think the 60% would probably work well too, but you would need to try it out.

Can i clean processor gold side and motherboards cpu slot pins aswell with same stuff? Im getting ( FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.4997558594, expected less than 0.4 )after 5mins in prime64 stock settings no overclock. And intel burn test says its not stable aswell on high / very high / maximum settings, although standard passes as stable most times i tried.. I did memtest on boot and it passed 3x already. I already reseated cpu and cleared its other side from leftover thermal paste but didnt touch to pin side. Also by quickly looking pins looked straight in mobo. I now get random bsod:s with note System_Service_Exeption, and still ram shows up as 16gb but 7.99 usable. Dont anymore think its win7 os related.

OS : win7 64bit home premium
Cpu : i7 875k unlocked, stock, only turbo boost in bios enabled
Mobo : p55-gd55 http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P55GD55.html#hero-overview
Ram : All ram from same package, bought new and not used. specs for Ram below:
http://www.corsair.com/en-us/xms3-16gb-dual-channel-ddr3-memory-kit-cmx16gx3m4a1333c9

Just want to know if i can use this 60% antiseptic with Benzalalkonium chlorid , Polyaminopropyl biguanide and aqua? That it wont destory my ram/cpu.
Thanks

ADDED: Found on corsair site (tech specs for this model ram) that SPD voltage is 1.5v, im using it atm, was stock. But under it says Tested voltage 1.65v, is it just maximum voltage or means Recommended?

Ok, so i raised Dram voltage from 1.50 to 1.651, and i read somewhere that VTT should be raised if difference is over 0.5v, so i upped cpu VTT to 1.2.
Now after booting still getting 16gb installed but 7.99gb available in task manager and system specs. Will do stress testing tomorrow to see if i get Bsods again and will do now memtest overnight. thanks for answer, i will be responding tomorrow.

On task manager i see:
Physical memory: 8150
On cache: 1800
Usable :6500
Free: 4800

And if i check show ram / memory from system specs: Physical ram 16gb (7,99gb usable)
dxdiag says 1800 used and 14400 usable (somehow)
Bios recodnizes full 16gb but on L3 cache 8gb

Every benchmark i do says maximum memory which can be stressed is around 8000mb

Might chek MSCONFIG to see if it's limiting DRAM. Click on START, type MSCONFIG in the search box, Enter, Boot tab, Advanced, and make sure Max Memory is unchecked. If unchecked could be a MC (memory controller) issue or mobo problem. Do you have a third party CPU cooler? If so loosen it then just snug it down, screw tight. If too tight in a corner or side, it can throw the MC off. Can also check in the CPU socket for bent pins

Level 3 cache is inside of your CPU. That is not memory that you can touch or change.

None of the numbers you listed make any sense. If the BIOS says you have 16Gb, and you open up the Control Panel and click on System...

See where that shows 16GB of memory. If yours says that, then you have 16GB of memory installed and Windows sees it all. Beyond that, Windows is using some of it so that you can do what you are doing.

1. I went to check msconfig and max memory is unchecked, I double checked on manual that this board supports 16gb by 4gb sticks and memory matches in crucial scan too for this mobo.
Im using Noctua nh-u14s with 4pin cpufan connector, already reseated cpu and checked for bent pins when i reapplied thermal paste, i also had 2 system fans with 3pin connector, removed those to see if its psu issue, didnt see changes in voltages or stablility.

2. It says on Control panel => System : Installed memory (RAM) : 16,0 GB (7,99 GB usable)

Did 6h memtest with new 1.65v dram 1.2vtt settings and still no errors with 5 passes. Prime95 failed in blend after 5mins,( FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.4978027344, expected less than 0.4 )
workers 1-2 keep on working in prime95 3-8 crashes pretty soon.

My psu is corsair 600w cx http://www.corsair.com/en-us/builder-series-cx600
Shouldnt be problem on stock 875k 95w TDP on manufactor site, and it supports also max 16gb DDR 1066/1333, so everything matches :
http://ark.intel.com/products/48499/Intel-Core-i7-875K-Processor-8M-Cache-2_93-GHz

And my gpu 670 windforce ( not overclocked and newesst drivers, old drivers removed ) has psu requirement 550w so im 50 above that too.

I tested temperatures under pressure and idle, core 1-4 running at 30-36C when idle and fan speed 100%. Intel burn test standard it gets to about 50-55C, prime 64bit 45-50C.. core 1 is always +5 compared to other cores, whatever state.
Tmpn0 / Tmpn2 are always below 40C, But Tmpn1 is 35 idle and 50-55C underr pressure.

I looked up your motherboard. It clearly supports 16GB. I have no idea why its saying 7.99GB usable. But like I said before, Windows and all of the other programs that you have installed are using memory. It could be that on your system, you just end up with 7.99GB free after everything else has loaded into memory.

If Windows is seeing 16GB installed, then it should be able to use all 16GB as long as you are running a 64 bit version of Windows. 32 bit Windows would not be able to use more than 4GB of memory.

Yep, everything on mobo supports this type memory and size 16gb. But on task manager example it says physical memory total 8000mb, and every single benchmark program say that i have 8gb memory total.
Im on my other computer atm which has 64 bit win7 home prem, same os with 8gb ram installed and it says 8gb on control panel, nothing mentioned about usable like in your pic. And on task manager i have same numbers (8k total physical ram) on both computers.. although my p55-gd55 has 1 game + drivers.. and this computer is loaded with stuff almost used all space (90%).

I restarted now p55-gd55 with stock vtt and dram 1.5v again and run benchmarks.. still crashes but now it lasts 2-3x longer to do so. Temperatures about the same.

Take a screen shot of Task Manager (ALT-Prt Screen), then open Paint, paste the image into Paint, save it as a JPEG picture, and then use some photo sharing site to be able to share the image. The one I am using is Tinypic.com (its free) which as soon as you have uploaded the image, will give you a IMG link that you can paste into this forum.

I need to see what it is that you are interpreting as only giving 8GB usable, because there is a huge difference between 8GB FREE and 8GB AVAILABLE.
