Hi there, I'm looking to upgrade my existing monitor to get a bigger one and as I look around, it seems that a 4k TV could be a solution, but I need advice if it's a good idea.
The one I'm looking for is Philips 43" 4K Ultra HD HDR LED Smart TV (43PFL5922/F7) : http://go.shr.lc/2ijp4Sq. From the leaftlet ( http://go.shr.lc/2ijl1pe ), it states that computer formats are 3,840 x 2,160 @ 60 Hz and also 4,096 x 2,160 @ 60Hz. It seems to have 3 x HDMI 2.0. I see, according to that same leaflet, that it has a response time of 9 ms.
I'm planning to hook up my Windows 10 system (GeForce 1060 6Gb) on it alongside my Chromebox (Acer CIX2) that also supports 4k.
What I do is, in order of importance, programming, Photoshop, browsing the web and light gaming.
Is there something else I should consider? Monitors and 2x and 3x the price of that TV and, as it seems, the TV could do very well what I need to do, but I'm not an expert and there's probably something that I don't know that could lead to a 'bad experience'.
Thanks a lot.
