Question Using a different power adapter

Greetings, I have an appliance That I happened to step on the power adapter and I broke on of the pins, the adapter specs input ac100-240v0.3A 50/60hz
Output:dc5v-1A

Can I use another adapter say from an smartphone
Input ac100-240v 0.2A 50/60hz
Output5.0v 1000ma?
Is it safe

Yes....if the specs are correct....the outputs are the same electrically.

On the appliance in the palace I connect the cable says dc6v but the original adapter says 5v, I'm confused

What type of connector does it use? You also need to check polarity on some plugs.

If the original adapter worked....the new one should too.

Although it's a bit strange they don't line up.

It's a baby rocking chair, the cable connects via usb to the original power adapter

Ah it’s usb so uses a standard connection. USB would be 5v so no idea why it would say 6v. You would be fine using that other adapter.

There's a good chance the chair has some sort of voltage regulator and 5 or 6 would work.
