Using a flat panel TV as a computer monitor?

i'm trying to set up a 32" panasonic flat panel tv as a monitor. I have windows 7 pro software. i can't seem to get the screen size
right.

Change the display options on the TV to computer/monitor & you probably need to adjust the scaling in windows display options. If the text looks blurry you may need to adjust the sharpness on the TV.

What resolution are you trying to use & is there black lines around the edges?
