I've been using 1680x1050 on this 46 in. Samsung LED TV for about a year now. I'm using a little HDMI --> Mini-HDMI converter thing that goes into my graphics card mini-hdmi port.
TV: UN46D6050
Graphics Card: (NVIDIA) MSI GTX 560 Ti
OS: Win7 64bit Enterprise
When switching to 1920x1080 (remember this is a 1080P tv) it becomes really ugly compared to 1680x1050, like the text is kind of fuzzy, everything seems too bright and not right.
Does anyone know why? Besides the fact that TV's aren't the most reliable things to use as monitors.
Thanks.

What roll have you invented here,
1st DVI-D digital signal, same as HDMI.
2º I have not seen any HDTV, besides having an HDMI connection (DVI-D).
3rd HDTV will have analog connections for video and PC, they do not have DVI. Exception: carry dvi (if they do not have hdmi) eg: Tv-hd-ready old.
IMPORTANT FINAL
You should have been left out (only create confusion), and that your opinion is correct in HDTV-HDMI, PC mode with digital signals dvi-hdmi, override your opinions, just confuse (pc-mode, rgb and color cables). There are no more options !! irony. The new monitors with hdmi, DisplayPort, dvi, bring hundreds of predeter programs, to configure video, image etc. Like HDTV for hdmi ... Learn a little and do not write without knowing !!
