I've attached a 2006 laptop hard drive using a SATA to USB 2.0 bridge cable (self powered) & I'm using windows 10 --- the device shows up in the device manager but it is not listed in the drives. I've been to "disk management" but I'm stuck there... HELP pls & thank you Click here for my screenshot

Solution

CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) almost always indicates a physically failed drive.
It is dead.

Disk 1, the 500GB (465GB) drive?
It is simply Unallocated. Is there anything on this drive you absolutely need?
It is 12 years old.
