I am confused as to what you are attempting to accomplish in regards to the post's title and your description.
You shouldn't bump your topic according to the ToS, try posting other information to try to get a response, such as steps you have taken to resolve the issue, your router make/model, your wireless adapter make/model. Distance from router to desktop.
If you're out of range of your Wireless signal, you have a few options.
Move router closer to desktop, move desktop closer to router.
Other than that there is not much you can do to boost your wireless signal short of purchasing something.
With that said you some options you can purchase a wireless repeater/extender, or a wireless bridge/access point.
A repeater will repeat the signal from your router allowing a seamless connection between hotspots. (roaming)
A bridge will take your wireless signal and turn it into a wired ethernet connection you would plug into.
An access point will take a wired network and extend it to the wireless devices.
