I have been wanting to use a high resolution in CSGO at a 5:4 aspect ratio. 1350x1080 looks beautiful but i really wish DSR worked for custom resolutions (maybe it does if someone knows?)

I have been told that all DSR is was downsampling, so I have played around with making a custom resolution at 144hz with a resolution at 2000x1600. The world looks amazing! Problem is my crosshair looks like this.. http://imgur.com/kYfWaoW there are red lines vertically and random green dots/lines horizontally .. and it does not do this at 1350x1080. Itll also do this at 2000x1125 so I have ruled out the aspect ratios as being the culprit, it just seems going above 1080p at any aspect ratio is the culprit.

Another important detail, with DSR on my native, it does not cause any excess lines on my crosshair like in the picture above. However, I want to use a 5:4 aspect ratio in CSGO, this is the goal

So, it would seem that the best way to solve this would be to find out how to get DSR to work with 1350x1080. I have used CRU, but it just kept giving me 16:9 aspect ratios for the DSR ratios.

Anyone have an idea how I can achieve DSR on 1350x1080? Or any other creative ways to achieving a similar result? Thanks!

Thanks for your reply Iamlegend

I understand.. what I am attempting to do, and sorry that I was not very clear, is to use DSR on that lower resolution. I like how 1920x1080 looks at 2x and 4x DSR. I like using 5:4 on CSGO (1350x1080) and I would like to DSR that resolution.

Not knowing how, I tried doing a 2000x1600 resolution as a form of downsampling instead, but it made my crosshair discolored (or perhaps miscolored).

Im trying to achieve a higher than 1080p resolution at 5:4 without the color flaws on my crosshair that setting a custom resolution at 2000x1600 has given me. Hopefully that clarifies things.

Yes I can, thats actually how I was first able to do DSR at first with the "Optimize" function.. but it does it at 16:9 (1920x1080 x2) and im shooting for 5:4 (1350 x 1080 x2 or x4)

I was able to accomplish it with GedoSato.. but that crashes my OBS and kills my mumble overlay, I'd love to keep those :)

I am not so sure, but I think CS GO do not support DSR for 5:4 Aspect Ratio, basically you can set the aspect ratio in "game settings" but if this will cause the game to crash then it is safe to say that it is not designed for this type of settings.
