Using HDD on another PC.

If I install Steam games from my friends account onto my friends HDD using MY computer.. when I give him the HDD back will he be able to play those games on his account?

If he has purchased them and already has them registered in his library it might work.

Only if he bought the games.

1) Steam has to know the games are there and if he didn't install them orginally it won't see them
2) If he DOES buy the game he can point the game to install there and it won't download any files that don't need to be which is nice for him
