using old CD- ROM to install in windows 8

Have a great printing program for windows 95/98 CD-ROM and would like to install it in my Windows 8 computer can this be done?

Some programs will run fine, others will run fine in compatibility mode, some will not run at all. You just have to try it.

A program from that far back may very well contain 16-bit code, which will not run in a 64-bit environment. It's almost a certainty that the installer will have some 16-bit code in it.
