I've got an old Logitech Quickcall USB speakerphone with mic that I'd like to use on my Win7 computer. It says its there in the Sound settings and under Alerts it tells me its been installed. But in the Sound settings its disabled even though I've set it as my default device. Under Device Status it says its working properly though it also says its disabled there as well.

Is there any way of using this in Windows 7? Some sort of virtual driver?

Occasionally, you can get old device drivers to run in W7 if they are an installer type and you install using a compatibility mode for XP (right click and properties, compatibility tab, and select the specific compatibility mode you want). It may or may not work but it is your only option if there are no other drivers available.

Interesting. What percentage of old device drivers can be run on W7 if they used to run on XP? When I right click the install driver (exe) file, Properties it does give the option to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode. But when it installs it says "This product is not designed for your current operation system." Tried for Win7, Vista and XP (just in case).
Well at least I know about this feature in the future.
