I've been using a 4770k for a while now, and I recently upgraded to SLI Zotac 1080Ti Amp Extremes.

I play games at 1440p and 4K depending. But I'm curious if that CPU is giving me any bottlenecking or if it's time to upgrade to something else.

I don't know much about CPUs, so any information would be appreciated.

Solution
Test this (multiple games) before upgrading.

"-If lowering the graphics settings has no effect on frame rates, then the bottleneck is your CPU
-If lowering the graphics settings increases the frame rate, then your GPU is reaching its upper limits"

I'd say definetely wait for Coffee Lake. It will bring 6 core parts replacing the current top tier 4 parts from intel. If you really need it, squeeze the last out of the processor with overclocking, can definetely help a bit.
